What is the recovery ratio?

The recovery ratio is the proportion of impurities or pollutants that are removed from water by a purifier. For example, if you had 1 litre of muddy water and wanted to remove 3g of dirt, your recovery ratio would be 3/1=3g. If you then desired to remove 60 gm of dirt from this same 1 litre of

water, your new recovery ratio would be 60/3=20gm. Your original intention for the purifier was to remove exactly 3 grams in order to have "pure" water, but because it couldn't meet that target level after trying twice (because it's impossible!), you ended up with 20 grams instead.

So what is my recovery ratio? The Mi smart water purifier has a recovery ratio of approximately 98-99%. This means that it can remove 98-99% of pollutants and impurities from your water, leaving behind only 2-3% of contaminants.

The graph below shows the results for the removal of numerous pollutants in relation to the recovery ratio. As you can see, this particular purifier has pretty much taken care of everything!

What does the recovery ratio mean to me from a practical viewpoint?Let's say you were trying to remove Giardia from your water. Currently, if you wanted to simply use a filter and wait for months (or even years) to see any results, the recovery ratio might be a difficult selling point. But in our experience,

purifying water with the Mi smart water purifier is like having a filter on your shower head. The purifier works on its own to remove infectious diseases such as Giardia from your water, but it's not always 100% effective every time.

In this case, we recommend keeping the purifier as close to 100% of working as possible. That is, don't let the purifier run out of water and then refill it. Refilling Mi Smart Water Purifier

What is frequency of refill? If the purifier has been used to produce one litre of dirty water and has then produced a litre and a half of clean water,

you should refill the purifier immediately. When you do this, you will be replenishing the existing volume of clean water, as that was only half full in the first place. By doing this, you prevent any bacteria from growing or multiplying in your purifying system and in so doing, extend its life expectancy significantly.

This means that you get the most out of your purifier in terms of cleaning. If you wait for the water to reach a certain level and then refill,

it is probable that you will end up with less clean water if there are any leftovers from previous uses; which brings us back to our original topic - how often should I refill the Mi smart water purifier?

Note that each cycle produces 1.5-2 litres of clean water. We recommend that you refill the purifier every time it has produced 100 ml of clean water, or when the LED has turned blue.
